Lakeside parade
Lakeside High School's homecoming parade will begin at 6:15 p.m. today at Evans-to-Locks Road and follow Blue Ridge Drive to the school, followed by a bonfire.

Trick or Treat
Columbia County's annual Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat will be held 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Patriots Park Gym. Admission for trick-or-treating children is one can of food for local food banks, and businesses can participate by handing out candy. for information, call (706) 312-7191.

CSRA Happy Tails Rescue is holding a Halloween event from 1-4 p.m. Saturday during its weekly adoptions at Tractor Supply on Bobby Jones Expressway.
