'Jerks' needed to take 'radical measures' in defense of freedom

Kevin Brown
Martinez

Editor:

Barack Paschal or Barry Obama?

Both these individuals are political opposites, yet they find common ground on crucifying radical conservatives.

I'm referring to Obama telling the "sheeple" not to listen to Rush Limbaugh, which in turn increased Limbaugh's listeners. I am also referring to the incident at the Columbia County Library in Evans, perpetrated by Jim Stachowiak.

He might be a jerk in Paschal's eyes (column, March 22), but America needs these radical measures to serve as a wake-up call to keep the flames of freedom glowing.

As long as these measures are done legally, which seems to be the case, there is nothing wrong with it.

America has too many pacifists. Pacifists are usually the first ones to accept communism.

The Obama administration is forcing us into transcending socialism, which leads to communism. Moderate conservatism will always be snuffed out by liberalism.

Now, closer to home, the newspaper industry is taking a big hit. Is Obama going to bail you all out? Not no, but hell no!

The Obama shock troops will effectively wipe out tree-killing newspaper magnates, thereby keeping the eco-whackos happy and also starting the first phase of mind control. Government-controlled electronic media will be the next phase of mind control.

I know all this sounds Orwellian, but it is happening. For instance, Obama's first "experimental" town hall meetings via the Internet.

I've talked to Paschal before, and he is a brilliant and fair individual, traits that are rare these days. But he's got to ask himself one question: Would he rather be ruled by God-hating communists or God-fearing capitalists? I hope he chooses the latter.

If it takes a jerk to stir up ideas of freedom, then so be it. Revolutionary War patriot Patrick Henry said it best: "Give me liberty, or give me death."
